AI cannot be used without licensed healthcare professional review and approval for treatment/diagnosis decisions, direct patient communication, or generating therapeutic recommendations/treatment plans

Violations carry civil penalties up to $10,000 per violation, payable to the Louisiana Department of Health

The Louisiana Department of Health may investigate complaints against providers it licenses and refer complaints to appropriate licensing boards for other providers

The Department of Health must promulgate rules to implement these provisions
