Requires a local option election on November 3, 2026, in St. Helena Parish to determine whether members of the parish governing authority (police jury) should have term limits

If approved by voters, members would be limited to three consecutive four-year terms (12 years total)

Term limits would apply only to service during terms beginning on or after January 10, 2028, meaning current service would not count toward the limit

The state would bear the full cost of the election, rather than requiring the parish to pay a portion as is typical for local option elections

The secretary of state would prepare the ballot, and the election would be conducted under the Louisiana Election Code
