Establishes Louisiana state minimum wage at $10/hour beginning January 1, 2027, increasing to $12/hour on January 1, 2029, and $14/hour on January 1, 2031

Exempts student employees of private employers and tipped/agricultural employees as defined by federal Fair Labor Standards Act

Employees may file civil lawsuits against employers who violate minimum wage requirements, with a one-year statute of limitations from when the employee becomes aware of the violation

Violating employers are liable for the wage difference owed plus reasonable attorney fees and court costs

Louisiana Works must compile and submit annual reports by March 1st to legislative labor committees and the governor listing employers who violated the law, number of affected employees, and dollar amounts of violations
