Re-creates the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services and all its statutory entities effective June 30, 2026, under the state's sunset law review process

Extends the department's statutory authority for approximately 4-5 additional years, with the new termination date set for July 1, 2031

Termination proceedings would begin July 1, 2030, unless the legislature passes another re-creation bill before that date

Repeals the current termination provision in R.S. 49:191(1)(h) and enacts a new provision at R.S. 49:191(3)(b) to reflect the updated timeline
