Shifts responsibility for issuing employment certificates for minors from schools and school boards directly to employers, allowing minors with parental consent to complete and submit certificates directly to prospective employers.

Requires the Louisiana Workforce Commission (La. Works) to make the employment certificate form available on its website and at local field offices, rather than through school-designated issuing authorities.

Mandates the certificate form include signature lines for the minor and parent/legal guardian, proof of age documentation selection, and the prospective employer's name.

Repeals requirements for school superintendents, principals, or their designated representatives to approve, issue, and maintain records of employment certificates (R.S. 23:183, 184(1), and 188).

Effective August 2, 2026.
