Allows any active licensed Louisiana home inspector residing within a congressional district to submit candidate names to the governor for board vacancies, replacing the previous system where only three specific industry associations submitted names

Establishes qualifications for board candidates and those submitting nominations: must hold a license for at least 3 years, have no board rule or licensing law violations in the preceding 3 years, and be in good standing with the board

Sets board member terms at 4 years with a maximum of two terms (consecutive or non-consecutive), replacing the previous mixed term structure of 2, 4, and 6-year terms

Removes the specific designation of the Third Congressional District member appointed July 27, 2012 as the at-large member

Allows board members whose terms have ended to continue serving until a replacement is appointed, with this interim service not counting toward term limits
