Amends R.S. 14:35.3(I), the "Domestic Abuse Child Endangerment Law," to increase penalties for domestic abuse battery committed in the presence of a minor child aged 13 or younger

Changes the enhanced imprisonment term from a maximum of 3 years at hard labor to a mandatory minimum of 3 years and maximum of 6 years at hard labor

The enhanced penalty applies when the state proves a child 13 or younger was present at the residence or scene during the commission of domestic abuse battery

This imprisonment is imposed in addition to any other penalties for the underlying domestic abuse battery offense
