Prohibits students from possessing firearms in college or university dormitory rooms, removing the current exception that allows dormitory possession with administration permission

Students carrying firearms to classes or activities (such as ROTC functions) that require firearm use may still transport them on campus, but must not store them in their dormitory rooms

Retains the exception allowing students to carry firearms to and from their vehicles or with administration permission, but only outside of dormitory rooms

Amends R.S. 14:95.2(C), which governs the crime of carrying firearms on school property, at school-sponsored functions, or in firearm-free zones
