Admitted insurers are prohibited from sending policy cancellation or nonrenewal notices electronically unless the insured has provided prior written consent to receive such notices by electronic means

Cancellation or nonrenewal notices sent electronically without the insured's prior written consent are deemed legally ineffective

Applies to property, casualty, and liability insurance policies

Effective January 1, 2027
