Establishes Louisiana state minimum wage at $12 per hour beginning January 1, 2027, increasing to $15 per hour beginning January 1, 2029

Beginning January 1, 2031, minimum wage will be adjusted annually based on the Consumer Price Index for Urban Consumers in the South region, rounded to the nearest five cents

State minimum wage automatically increases to match federal minimum wage if federal rate exceeds state rate

Violations subject to fines of $500 to $1,000 per affected employee, plus back pay for the difference between actual wages paid and minimum wage

Student employees of the state and state colleges/universities are exempt from the minimum wage requirement
