Requires retail stores, restaurants, pharmacies, gas stations, and other public-facing commercial establishments to develop and maintain written workplace violence prevention plans that include risk assessment procedures, safety measures (panic buttons, surveillance, drop safes), employee training, and post-incident support protocols

Mandates warning signs (minimum 11" x 18") be displayed near entrances and counter areas stating that violence against employees is a crime that may result in felony conviction

Requires establishments to report workplace violence incidents to local law enforcement and notify Louisiana Works within 24 hours if an incident results in injury, involves a weapon, or poses immediate threat to safety

Prohibits retaliation against employees who report workplace violence in good faith, cooperate in investigations, or participate in prevention activities

Authorizes Louisiana Works to inspect establishments for compliance, issue citations for violations, and establishes penalties of up to $1,000 fine and/or 1-5 years imprisonment for unlawful disruption of a regulated establishment's operations
