Requires corporations, organizations, or persons to clearly and conspicuously notify consumers when they are communicating with an automated system (chatbot, AI agent, avatar) rather than a human being during commercial transactions

Defines "automated system" as computer technology that engages in textual or aural conversation and may mislead a reasonable person into believing they are interacting with a human

Creates a private cause of action allowing consumers to sue for actual damages plus statutory damages up to $1,000 per individual, or up to $10 million in class actions

Authorizes the attorney general to seek injunctive relief against violators

Imposes civil penalties up to $5 million for corporations, organizations, or persons found in violation by a court
