Proposes a constitutional amendment to Article X, Section 10(A)(1)(c) authorizing the Louisiana legislature to provide state supplemental pay to probation and parole officers employed by the Department of Public Safety and Corrections

Expands existing supplemental pay authority, which currently covers only sworn commissioned law enforcement officers who patrol waterways and riverfront areas while making arrests, issuing citations, and serving warrants

Requires two-thirds approval from both houses of the legislature to place the amendment on the ballot

Submits the proposed amendment to Louisiana voters at the statewide election on November 3, 2026

Effective date of July 1, 2027 if approved by voters
