Expands the definition of "school resource officer" to include veterans in addition to peace officers under R.S. 17:416.19(B)(1)

Defines "veteran" as a former or current member of the U.S. Armed Forces or organized militia, including Army, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, National Guard, Air National Guard, Reserves, and State Guard

Also includes commissioned officers of the Public Health Service, Environmental Science Services Administration, NOAA, and the former U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey in the veteran definition

Applies to both local public school systems and nonpublic schools that enter agreements with local law enforcement agencies for school resource officers
