Department of Children and Family Services must report to Louisiana Department of Health within 72 hours when a child is placed in DCFS custody

LDH must immediately review and adjust SNAP, WIC, and FITAP benefits for the parent's household to reflect the child's removal, and issue a new Medicaid card to the child's new residence if enrolled

DCFS must notify LDH when a child under age 18 is returned to parental custody

LDH must assess where a child is actually residing and adjust benefits accordingly when receiving an application for a child already included in another household's benefits

Individuals who fail to report household changes and continue receiving benefits for a child no longer in the home must be referred to LDH's fraud detection unit for investigation and recovery of ineligible benefits
