Secretary of State must annually submit all registered voters to the federal SAVE (Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements) program to verify citizenship status, with data submitted at least 180 days before federal general elections

Potential noncitizen registrants identified through SAVE must be referred to the Division of Election Integrity for investigation, with findings submitted to prosecutorial agencies for potential criminal prosecution

Verified noncitizen matches must be transmitted to parish registrars of voters to challenge and cancel the individual's voter registration under R.S. 18:193

Secretary of State must include in the annual legislative report: number of records checked against SAVE, registrants challenged as potential noncitizens, registrations cancelled, and recommendations for improving voter roll accuracy

Law only applies if SAVE remains available at no cost to the state or if the legislature appropriates funds for this purpose
