Creates the Manchac Wildlife Management Area Sanctuary for fish, shrimp, and other marine life in the portion of Lake Pontchartrain adjacent to and south of the Manchac Wildlife Management Area, extending 1.25 miles from the shoreline

Prohibits taking fish, shrimp, and seafood using trawls, skimmer nets, butterfly nets, seines, or traps in the sanctuaries, with exceptions for cast nets, drop nets, and scoop nets

Authorizes the use of legal hoop nets and slat traps for catfish, crab traps, and legal trawls/skimmer nets/butterfly nets during open seasons south and east of the Interstate 10 bridge

Amends R.S. 56:804(A) through (E) to expand the existing Lake Catherine and Lake Pontchartrain Sanctuary provisions to include the new Manchac sanctuary

Administration of the sanctuaries remains with the Fish and Game Section of the Wildlife and Fisheries Commission
