Healthcare providers enrolled in Medicaid must accept the program's payment as payment in full for covered services when a prescription is issued for medication-assisted treatment

Providers are prohibited from charging fees or co-payments to Medicaid recipients for covered services unless expressly authorized by the medical assistance programs

Violations may result in termination or exclusion from Medicaid participation for up to one year, as determined by the Louisiana Department of Health
