Authorizes landowners to trim branches or roots from a neighbor's trees, bushes, or plants that extend onto their property after the neighbor fails to comply with a removal demand under existing Civil Code Article 688

Requires the landowner to send a 30-day written notification via certified mail before proceeding with removal at their own expense

Written notification must include the date, demand for removal, and a statement that the landowner will proceed with removal after 30 days if the neighbor does not act

Landowners who remove branches or roots in violation of the notification requirements are liable for any damages caused to the neighbor's trees, bushes, or plants

Enacts new Civil Code Article 688.1 to supplement existing law that allows landowners to demand removal at the neighbor's expense when encroaching vegetation affects property enjoyment
