Changes the chief of police position in Fordoche, Louisiana from an elected office to one appointed by the mayor with majority approval from the board of aldermen

Appointment cannot occur until the current elected chief's term expires, unless the office is vacant or filled by a temporary officer on the effective date

Chief of police term runs concurrent with the mayor and aldermen who appointed them

Board of aldermen must establish the salary, duties, qualifications, and responsibilities of the chief of police by ordinance, based on the mayor's recommendation

Chief of police reports directly to the mayor
