Adds licensed building consultants to the list of professionals who qualify to serve as certified appraisers under Louisiana insurance law (R.S. 22:1807.14)

Defines "building consultant" as any person providing specialized advice, oversight, guidance, and evaluation related to the design, construction, condition, performance, or repair of buildings

Requires building consultants to pass a board-administered examination, meet certification requirements, pay fees, and submit to board oversight, compliance, and sanctions effective January 1, 2026

Classifies building consultant as a subclassification of residential construction under the State Licensing Board for Contractors

Applies to anyone who advertises, solicits, or offers to construct, supervise, advise, direct, oversee, or perform construction, modification, repair, or maintenance of any building portion
