Amends R.S. 9:2780 to codify the jurisprudential standard from Marcel v. Placid Oil Co. (1994) for additional insured coverage in oil, gas, and mineral well agreements

Allows parties to obtain enforceable additional insured coverage only by making a written premium quote request, receiving a quote from the named insured's insurer, and making direct payment to that insurer

Requires the named insured or insurer to notify additional insureds in writing at least 30 days before annual premium renewals are due once coverage is purchased

Makes additional insureds responsible for deductibles and retentions up to $100,000, with the named insured covering any amounts exceeding that threshold

Declares null and unenforceable any agreement requiring the named insured to fund deductibles or retentions up to the first $100,000, and preserves existing prohibitions against defense and indemnity provisions caused by the indemnitee's negligence
