Urges the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) to add dance and cheer as officially sanctioned sports for interscholastic competition

Sanctioned status would provide participants access to eligibility rules, academic requirements, formal oversight, insurance coverage, health and safety requirements, and scholarship opportunities

Would also grant dance and cheer participants standardized seasons, scheduling, fundraising capabilities, and name, image, and likeness (NIL) opportunities

Currently, LHSAA sanctions 16 sports: baseball, basketball, bowling, cross country, football, golf, gymnastics, indoor/outdoor track and field, powerlifting, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, volleyball, and wrestling

Resolution directs that a copy be transmitted to the LHSAA executive director
