Currently, the Enhanced Mitigation Zone prohibits all supplemental feeding, baiting, and hunting over bait, while the Buffer Zone only allows feeding/baiting through non-stationary broadcast methods

Justification cited includes conflicts with traditional hunting practices, reduced hunter participation, economic harm to local farmers and retailers, and hindrance of wild hog trapping efforts

Notes that CWD prions persist in the environment for years with no proven eradication methods, and no direct evidence exists of CWD infecting humans

Directs the Office of the State Register to publish a summary of the resolution in the Louisiana Register
