LA SB131

Prohibits professional or occupational licensing boards from collecting attorney fees or costs from a licensee when the final disciplinary outcome (suspension, probation, or monetary payment) is less severe than what the licensee previously offered in writing during settlement negotiations

Applies to costs incurred by the board after the licensee's written offer of judgment or consent order negotiation was made

Clarifies that existing exemptions from disciplinary proceeding limitations (for boards including Medical Examiners, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, and others) apply only to Subsection A of the statute, not to the new attorney fee recovery provisions

Amends R.S. 37:21 with an effective date of August 1, 2026
