Establishes new boundaries for Louisiana's 39 Senate districts based on updated precinct data from the "2026 Precinct Shapefiles (1-27-2026)" file, reflecting changes submitted by parish governing authorities through January 27, 2026

Repeals the existing Senate district boundaries under R.S. 24:35.1 and enacts new district descriptions under R.S. 24:35, with district populations ranging from 113,500 to 125,286 (ideal population of 119,429 per district based on 2020 Census)

New districts become effective upon governor's signature for qualifying and conducting the 2027 Senate elections only; full effectiveness for all other purposes begins at 10:00 a.m. on January 10, 2028

Protects current officeholders by specifying that the redistricting does not reduce the term of any person holding a position based on Senate districts as of the effective date; positions filled after January 10, 2028 will use the new district boundaries

Preserves district territorial limits regardless of subsequent precinct changes made by parish governing authorities, and includes all geographic and nongeographic precinct subdivisions within referenced precinct designations
