Expands the Addictive Disorder Regulatory Authority (ADRA) to credential peer support specialists, peer support specialist associates, and peer support specialist supervisors who provide nonclinical services to individuals with behavioral health conditions

Increases ADRA board membership from 8 to 9 members by adding a representative from the Louisiana Department of Health, Office of Behavioral Health

Establishes qualification requirements for peer support credentials including minimum age of 18, 12 months of stability for those with lived experience, passing a written examination (for specialists and supervisors), and criminal background checks with discretionary felony waivers

Sets fee ranges for peer support professionals: application fees $50-$300, examination fees $100-$300, and renewal fees $100-$300, with 12-month renewal periods for specialists and associates and 24-month renewal for supervisors

Transfers authority over peer support specialist training and requirements from the Louisiana Department of Health to ADRA, effective August 1, 2026
