Adds blood pressure testing to the existing required sight and hearing screenings for all public school students in Louisiana, to be conducted during the first semester or within 30 days of late enrollment

Testing must follow the schedule established by the American Academy of Pediatrics, with the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education authorized to convert age-based schedules to academic year equivalents

School boards must keep records of examinations, follow up on deficiencies within 60 days, and notify parents or tutors in writing of any pupil found to have abnormal blood pressure

Parents or tutors may object to the examination for their children under existing law (R.S. 17:156)

Charter schools must comply with the blood pressure testing requirements, extending the existing exemption exception for hearing and vision screenings
