Louisiana Department of Health must conduct annual reviews of all medications, treatments, and services for chronic and rare kidney diseases covered under Medicaid to assess adequacy for enrollees

Department must solicit public input during annual reviews, with emphasis on receiving feedback from individuals and groups with kidney disease knowledge and experience

Department shall pursue strategic partnerships with state-based entities serving kidney disease patients to increase education, awareness, and diagnostic screening, including through Well Ahead Louisiana

Annual report required to the Senate president, House speaker, and health and welfare committees beginning January 15, 2027, detailing findings and legislative recommendations
