Authorizes the Louisiana Wildlife Commission to establish a special recreational alligator hunting season separate from the existing commercial alligator season

Grants the commission authority to set season dates, harvest quotas, tag allotments, and residency requirements by geographic area within the state

Requires recreational alligator hunters to possess a valid basic hunting license, an alligator hunting license, and department-issued recreational harvest tags

Prohibits taking alligators outside the designated season, without proper licenses/tags, or by illegal methods, with violations classified as class three offenses

Effective August 1, 2026
