LA SB281

Amends R.S. 33:9038.71(B) to modify the boundaries of the Baker Economic Development District, a special taxing district and political subdivision located in the City of Baker, Louisiana

Redefines the district to include all parcels of land bordering Plank Road within Baker's city limits, beginning at the northern city limits identified by the bridge near Lake Mary Drive

Removes previous language that included additional enumerated parcels or tracts of land beyond the Plank Road corridor

Retains the district's existing purpose of providing cooperative economic development for redevelopment and improvement of property within the district

Becomes effective upon signature by the governor or upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without gubernatorial signature
