Amends R.S. 37:141-154, 156, 157, and 158 to modernize licensing requirements for architects and architectural firms in Louisiana, establishing clear pathways for initial and reciprocal licenses through the State Board of Architectural Examiners

Requires initial license applicants to complete an approved education program, approved experience program, and approved examination, and mandates reciprocal license applicants hold a current NCARB certificate and valid license from another jurisdiction

Expands board membership nomination process from three to five nominees per district and adds provisions prohibiting board members from holding leadership positions in state or national professional architecture associations during their term

Increases maximum criminal fines for violations from $1,500 to $5,000 for individuals and maintains $5,000 maximum for entities, while expanding the list of disciplinary violations to include impersonation, using deceptive seals, and failing to comply with board orders

Repeals R.S. 37:146.1 and replaces outdated examination-focused licensing provisions with a streamlined framework emphasizing approved programs administered by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), effective August 1, 2026
