Establishes the Perinatal Bereavement Care Initiative within the Louisiana Department of Health's office on women's health and community health to improve access to and quality of perinatal bereavement care

Requires coordination with the Commission on Perinatal Care and Prevention of Infant Mortality and nonprofit organizations to provide resources to maternity hospitals, including staff training on supporting families after fetal demise, neonatal death, or stillbirth

Mandates provision of perinatal bereavement devices and identification of available services such as grief counseling and support groups for affected parents and families

Prioritizes hospitals lacking bereavement devices, those treating high numbers of high-risk maternal patients, and high-volume delivery facilities

Effective August 1, 2026; funded through voluntary sources including federal funds, gifts, grants, and donations
