Expands the Louisiana Churches and Nonprofit Religious Organizations Self-Insured Fund from "property coverage" to "commercial coverage," broadening the types of insurance pools these organizations can form

Allows churches and nonprofit religious organizations to create self-insurance pools for additional commercial coverages analogous to commercial property insurance, with approval from the commissioner of insurance

Redefines "commercial coverage" to include premises liability, contents coverage for furniture/equipment, wind and hail coverage, loss of use coverage, and medical payments coverage

Redefines "fund" or "self-insurance fund" as a pool of monies established from member contributions rather than simply "the self-insurance fund"

Effective upon signature by the governor or upon expiration of time for bills to become law without signature
