Allows the state senator and state representative for the district containing New Orleans City Park to appoint designees to serve on the board of commissioners in their place, rather than serving personally

Exempts the New Orleans City Park Improvement Association from mandatory participation in the state risk management program for general liability and workers' compensation coverage when contracting with a nonprofit entity for park operations

Requires that any contracted nonprofit entity employ all City Park employees and maintain its own comprehensive general liability and workers' compensation insurance as a condition of the state risk management exemption

Permits the Association to continue participating in the state risk management program for property insurance purposes only

Effective August 1, 2026
