Requires timely payment of all clerk-specified fees for service of citation, in addition to timely requesting service, for the request to be considered valid under Louisiana Code of Civil Procedure Articles 1201 and 3955

Mandates clerks of court to provide filing parties with a confirmation of receipt and statement of initial fees upon receiving a service request, with initial fees due within the existing 90-day service request period

Allows 30 days from receipt of a statement of additional fees to pay those fees, or the remainder of the 90-day period, whichever is longer

Expands grounds for involuntary dismissal without prejudice to include failure to pay all service fees within required timeframes, with courts permitted to set specific payment deadlines if good cause is shown

Exempts litigants permitted to litigate without payment of costs (in forma pauperis) from the fee payment requirements; effective August 1, 2026 with prospective application only
