Creates the "Fallen Heroes" special prestige license plate, available to any Louisiana citizen for passenger cars, pickup trucks, recreational vehicles, motorcycles, and vans

Requires a minimum of 1,000 applicants before the Department of Public Safety and Corrections will establish the plate

Charges an annual royalty fee of $25 plus a $3.50 handling fee per plate, in addition to standard vehicle license taxes

Directs all royalty fee proceeds to the Capital Area Law Enforcement Foundation for purchasing bulletproof vests for peace officers in Louisiana

Effective August 1, 2026
