Amends Chapter 176A, Section 31 of Massachusetts General Laws to expand the financial activities permitted by hospital service corporations

Allows hospital service corporations to make loans to, guarantee loans of, and make investments in hospitals and other health service providers

Investments must be authorized by the corporation's board of directors or a designated committee

Financial activities must serve the purpose of improving efficiency, reducing costs, or increasing benefits in health service delivery to subscribers and others

Retains existing authority for corporations to contract for administrative or other services related to hospital or health services and reimbursement
