Grants the Commonwealth (with District Attorney or Attorney General approval) the right to petition Superior Court for review of district court bail decisions, including release on personal recognizance or bail with/without surety

Requires the Commonwealth to file its petition no later than the next business day after the district court's bail order; filing does not automatically stay the defendant's release

Mandates Superior Court hearings on Commonwealth bail appeals occur on the next business day following the petition filing, absent extraordinary circumstances

Requires courts to inform defendants that the Commonwealth may appeal bail decisions and that failure to appear at Superior Court review hearings could result in arrest or bail revocation

Allows Superior Court justices on review to modify bail conditions, increase recognizance amounts, require surety, order pretrial detention, or remand the defendant
