Amends Section 18C of Chapter 265 of Massachusetts General Laws to impose a duty to retreat on anyone who illegally enters another person's dwelling and discovers occupants are present

Intruders who fail to retreat forfeit all rights to civil or criminal action against legal occupants for any injuries they sustain

Creates enhanced penalty of minimum 5 years state prison for illegal entry where minors are present and the intruder fails to retreat

Establishes penalty of life imprisonment or minimum 20 years for home invasion involving a dangerous weapon, use or threat of force, or intentional injury to occupants

Applies to illegal entry of buildings, ships, vessels, or vehicles during day or night time
