Grants employers absolute civil liability immunity when disclosing basic employment information to prospective employers, including dates of employment, pay level, job description and duties, and wage history

Provides additional absolute immunity for written responses to written reference requests that include prior written employee evaluations and/or information about whether separation was voluntary or involuntary with reasons

Amends Chapter 149 of the General Laws by adding new Section 52D

Applies only to causes of action arising on or after the act's effective date (not retroactive)
