Town moderators may call for town meetings to be held remotely or as hybrid in-person/remote sessions via video or telephone conferencing, after consulting with the select board and public safety or health officials.

Video/telephone platforms must limit voting to eligible voters confirmed by the town clerk, enable identification of speakers, allow quorum determination, and permit roll call votes for representative town meetings.

Registered voters seeking remote participation in representative town meetings must submit requests at least 48 hours in advance; open town meeting participants must receive access instructions at least 48 hours before.

Town meetings must vote on whether to proceed with remote/hybrid format after establishing quorum; if rejected, the meeting adjourns to a specified future date.

Recordings of remote or hybrid town meetings must be preserved and posted publicly on the town's website for at least 90 days after the meeting dissolves.
