All food-serving establishments must identify in English ingredients containing protein derived from 8 major allergens: milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, or soybeans

Allergen information must appear either in ingredient lists or as a "contains" statement followed by the allergen source name, adjacent to food products offered

Allergen lists must be displayed on menus, provided as separate handouts readily available to patrons and employees, or posted in easily viewable locations

Department of Public Health may modify the food allergen list requirements

Amends Chapter 94 of Massachusetts General Laws by adding new Section 48F
