Department of Public Health must establish a Parkinson's disease public information and education program in consultation with the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association, covering disease causes, diagnostic procedures, lifestyle management, environmental safety, and available treatment services

Department must develop informational booklets about Parkinson's disease and distribute them to licensed health care facilities, professionals, community health centers, and the public, with electronic versions available in English and Spanish on the department's website

Educational programs required for judicial staff, police officers, firefighters, social services workers, and emergency medical service providers to help them recognize Parkinson's symptoms and respond appropriately to affected individuals

Department must create and maintain a list of specialized Parkinson's disease diagnosis and treatment providers, accompanied by descriptions of diagnostic procedures and a disclaimer that the department does not endorse specific programs or centers

Act takes effect 180 days following enactment
