First-time seller violations result in a warning letter from the Bureau of Health Care Safety and Quality; subsequent violations carry civil penalties of up to $150 for the second offense and up to $250 for third or later offenses

Minors who purchase dextromethorphan products face a $50 civil fine

Preempts all local ordinances regulating dextromethorphan sales, establishing uniform statewide regulation; does not apply to prescription dextromethorphan products
