Prohibits the sale or provision of food ware products made of extruded or expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam in Massachusetts after January 1, 2024

Bans stores and food distributors from serving prepared food or packaging meat, eggs, bakery products, and other food items in EPS foam containers

Prohibits retail stores from selling EPS foam food or beverage containers to consumers

Bars all state facilities, departments, and state-sponsored events from using or purchasing EPS foam food containers

Requires all state contractors to refrain from using EPS foam containers in state facilities or on state-funded projects, with distributors required to certify compliance to the commissioner
