Steven A. Hilliger, a firefighter in Lancaster, Massachusetts, may continue serving in his position until age 70, retirement, or removal by the Fire Chief, whichever occurs first

Continued employment requires Hilliger to remain mentally and physically capable of performing his duties

The Lancaster Select Board may require Hilliger to undergo examination by an impartial physician at the town's expense to verify fitness for duty

No retirement system deductions will be taken from Hilliger's compensation for service performed after age 65

Upon retirement, Hilliger will receive the same superannuation retirement allowance he would have received had he retired at age 65
