Doubles the existing renter's income tax deduction cap from $3,000 to $6,000

Creates a new tax credit for renters whose principal residence is in Massachusetts and who have adjusted gross income of $50,000 or less

New credit equals 5% of 50% of total rent paid above $12,000, capped at $200 maximum per single person, spouse, or head of household
