Vehicles owned or leased by funeral homes, licensed funeral directors, or livery companies may be equipped with flashing, rotating, or oscillating purple, violet, amber, clear, or white lights without a permit from the registrar of motor vehicles

Funeral home vehicles may display a flashing red light facing rearward when moving forward in a procession

Alternating flashing headlights or fog lights are permitted on these vehicles without special authorization

Special lights may only be illuminated during funeral processions or when responding to fatalities on behalf of the chief medical examiner

All vehicles participating in a funeral procession may use hazard warning signals (4-way flashers)
