Full-time firefighters employed by cities, towns, fire/water districts, or the commonwealth must receive physician-conducted neurological disorder screenings starting no less than 3 years after employment begins, then every 3 years thereafter

Coverage extends to firefighters at Massachusetts Military Reservation, 104th Fighter Wing, Devens fire department, Massachusetts Port Authority, and Barnes Air National Guard Base

Required screenings must include, at minimum: ALS, Alzheimer's disease, brain tumors, cerebral palsy, dementia, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and stroke

All screening costs must be covered by the employer-provided health care plan with no co-payments, deductibles, coinsurance, or out-of-pocket expenses for firefighters
